In a world full of fear and loathing the BBC is to bring back one of the most realistic, gripping and spell-binding science fiction programmes of yesteryear. I mean, as many of you will have guessed, the return of ... ta-da, ta-da, ta-da ... drumroll ... The Clangers !!! And who is to be narrator in place of the treasured Oliver Southgate? Couldn't have been a better choice - Michael Palin.
Hurrah. Let there be much merriment, public nudity and dancing in the street. [Something may be amiss in that sentence but I can't quite work out what is is]. After that we can go back to worrying about ISIS, Russia invading Ukraine, Erdogan deciding to annex Poland, and the usual stuff of the news channels.

Youngsters! Pah! What do they know! [I have found it difficult to resist the temptation to reply with quips about short measures, half measures, Draconian measures, and suchlike.]
