Title: A "how long is a piece of string" type question - you have been warned
Post by: Highlander on September 14, 2014, 21:02:57 PM
I spent £ 9:00 today (yes I know it's hard to believe  :) ) on something I would not have believed could have been so inexpensive.

What was it ?

This is a cryptic clue isn't it? "9:00" is not an amount of money, it is a time. "£" means pound which is a sort of prison (usually for animals but I suppose the Scots have a different way of naming things).

Hence, the answer is - you have spent some time in prison, probably nine hours - a short stretch for stealing a short piece of string.
