I tried to find a general MB thread to which to attach my post but the only recent one was for Sampler bookings. So I thought I'd start a new one.
We went there on Friday and found it fully lived up to the lavish renown and widespread recognition it has earned. Our main courses were both extremely good but, as someone who enjoys meze, I found the meze starter an absolute delight - quite stunning flavours and textures. If I ever get there again I think I'll forget the rest of the meal and just order double meze with a bottle of raki and settle into a good evening.
It was great to meet Nichola and Dogan and have a little time for a chat as well. Also nice, unexpectedly and briefly, to happen upon CBFers Rindaloo and Kayakebab who were out with a birthday bash party and whose table I interrupted for a couple of minutes.
A memorable evening.

It's the colours, the flavours and the quality of the food that gets me every time!
Add to that the excellent hosts and their staff and I agree it makes a memorable evening.

9 of us had fabulous meals last Friday and great hospitality.
