Does anybody know if the Havas or Mutas buses are operating in November from Dalaman to Fethiye.
They have timetables on their websites , but no indication as to whether they operate in winter.
Also they depart from the domestic terminal. Is this far from the international arrival point ?
Thanks
-
Dont know about the belediye bus, but the Havaş runs through the winter - basically it meets all inbound flights to the domestic terminal, so the service will be reduced due to less flights. It start from domestic and usually goes round to the international terminal before leaving the airport.

Have heard that the Havas bus will stop running and it will just be the Belediye one. Timetable will change for winter.
-
Thanks to you both.
The Mutas bus timetable does not suit, but I have EM Havas for their timetable as it is unclear from the website.
Cheers for now

Reading about the Havas bus meeting flights from Dalaman. I am due to arrive 7.30 am, end of January can anybody who has seen new timetable let me know what it says and where to pick it up from. Thanks

re the new Mugla bus. may I copy my experience last Saturday
Some friends messaged me to ask the best way of getting from Dalaman to Fethiye..............Hey we have a new local bus that runs several times a day...I looked at the link on Fethiye Times and saw that there was a bus that fitted their needs.....Aah but it is now November and the timetable might have changed.......phoned the number at Dalaman a dozen or more times but no reply..............still its a lovely day why not walk up to the Otogar they are bound to have a timetable.....PMSL!!!
Arrived at the otogar and low and behold they have their own office.
I asked for a timetable................we dont have a time table but pointed to the window where the buses from Fethiye were displayed
No I want the times of the buses from Dalaman to Fethiye.........Sorry we dont know..you will have to go to the office in Dalaman. I asked was there a number I could phone................No we dont have one...When your friends arrive at Dalaman tell them to go to the office if it is open and they will tell them when the next bus is. But that is why they want to know before they arrive......sorry cant help......But you must know when the buses arrive from Dalaman.................No sorry we dont
NOW THE QUESTION I MUST ASK IS WHY I THOUGHT I WOULD GET THE ANSWER IN THE FIRST PLACE
IF ANYONE DOES KNOW THE WINTER TIMETABLES FROM DALAMAN. I WOULD BE SO GREATFUL.......THANKS IAN

Have been told that the first bus from Fethiye to Dalaman is at 05.30 and the last one from Dalaman to Fethiye is at 22.30. Don't know times inbetween but will try and find out!
-
According to the Havas website there are just 4 buses running from Fethiye to Dalaman. They leave at 5.00,6.45,18.00 and 19.30.
-
Is the Havas bus still running? The times I gave were for the new Mugla Belediye bus.
-
According to the guy in the Muttas office today, both companies are running buses to Dalaman Airport, both leaving at the same times, but the Muttas bus is 2.5Tl cheaper.
-
Both buses are running, at the same times! Leave Fethiye at 05.30, 06.45, 18.00 and 19.30. Man in Fethiye office said they meet all flights in at Dalaman at both domestic and international terminals. Muttas bus costs 7.5 lira, Havas one is 10 lira.
-

Thats not correct. They do not meet international flights, only domestic - the current timetable reflects this where there are two buses in the morning and two in the evening to service the early THY & Pegasus flights and the respective evening departures. The do go via the international terminal, but if your flight doesn't arrive at the same time as the domestic flights, forget it.
Can you imagine the howls of anger that would emerge from the taxi drivers and transfer companies if Havaş were allowed to run a regular service from the international terminal that really did meet international arrivals?

Read all these posts. trouble is remarks like 'they usually call in at the international airport on their way', is not very reassuring if you are standing there with your suitcases at 07.30 not knowing if you are waiting for a no show, because today the driver decided it was an unusual day. and he wanted to get home for breakfast. I saw an item on another website Fethiye travel that showed a nice picture of a bus and said click here to get timetable, but it wouldn't show a timetable without a download of what seemed like worldwide travel. all that is important to me is, will I be standing there for 2 1/2 hours wondering if I should pay £45 for a taxi or is a bus going to arrive and take me there for 20 lira. any definite bus arrival information would be of great help. even a website that just shows the times without having to download potentially virus filled stuff to my computer.
-
ok. just went onto fethiye times and they have a picture of a new bus service. at first because I am on this damned windows 8 the article did not appear properly. but when I returned to the site, there is a button under the picture of the bus that shows timetables. only thing is it does not have a date on there so lets hope it is winter service.

If you took the sole word of an online forum poster (in this instance me) as gospel, and turned up anywhere expecting transport then you'd deserve to be left "waiting for a no show".
You want "reassurance"? Then check the information yourself or spend the extra few quid and get a private/shared transfer.
Some people...

Think that is a bit harsh.
The buses collect for the Pegasus and Turkish airline flights. I think the only other flights into Dalaman this winter are Thomas cook, so maybe they wont connect with these buses. Maybe check the websites for these airlines to find out the flight times? I am not sure if there are shared transfers at the date you want either - does anyone know this?
And as for the buses no collecting at International, they were certainly at the International terminal every Monday this season until about 14.00,possibily for later flights.
-
Think that is a bit harsh.
I dont.
JF
-
I do.
It is not just a few extra quid for a private transfer, the bus costs only 10 or 7.5 lira, depending which one you use. A private transfer is much more As I said, I do not know if shared transfers are running then. Maybe try the websites for them? Info for contact details should be on here also. I thought the point of a forum like this was to share information, not just to tell people to check themselves.
-
If you are going to "share information" then the least you can do is make sure its accurate, which you certainly didn't.
As I said before, if anyone relies on information provided on a fairly anonymous online forum to make an important decision on any subject, then they deserve all they get.
If the difference between getting the bus and a private transfer is a deal breaker, in this context, then it suggests someone has made some seriously wrong life choices.

The Havas bus always starts at the domestic terminal because they are timed to meet the incoming domestic flights only.
However it always go on to and stops, very briefly at the international terminal because some passengers have started their journey from outside Turkey and connected to a domestic flight to Dalaman.
Their luggage will have been transferred automatically at Istanbul or wherever and so on arrival at Dalaman it is diverted as international baggage to be collected at the international not domestic terminal. Passengers who started their journey as international passengers are also diverted to the international terminal and that is why the Havas bus always stops there.
But you do have to be quick if you want to catch it at the international terminal as it doesn't stop there very long at all.
-
Yes, that is correct Nicola, from what I saw last night at Dalaman. The Turkish Airline flight landed at domestic early at 19.33, the Havas buses for fethiye and Marmaris arrived at International at 19.54, and waited until 20.15. There is a large board at the International terminal from Havas saying they do the departures for Turkish Airline and Pegasus flights, and also arrivals, collecting first at domestic and then going to International and waiting for a few minutes. I asked the man taking payment in the car park office about the Muttas bus, he said they only do departures, not arrivals. I do not know if he meant at both the Domestic and International terminals.
I do not see how 'it suggests someone has made some seriously wrong life choices' if they choose to take the Havas bus rather than pay for a private transfer.

no need to get shirty John for others that may require information, I have emailed Havas and they were very helpful. telling me that there would be a bus at domestic stop at 07.45 . as my flight lands at 07.30 I asked them the time of the next one, as I don't do sprinting with suitcases.
They very kindly replied that the next one will be at 08.50. so it looks like I will be in luck
I travel to Turkey 3 times a year and have done for the past 8 years. usually nowadays using A2B for £16 return however at this time of year A2B want £85 return. so I am not a green tight wad as John seems to think. I just don't want to spend £85 on something I could get for 10 lira.
I am sure John is happy to pay £85 for the privilege of going door to door from the airport, but I think I am not alone in wanting to use the Havas when possible. most airports have a local bus to connect to town. you don't arrive in Antalia and have to book a transfer, there are busses to take you to your required end destination. The more people that use the Havas the better the service at Dalaman will be for all of us. :D ;)

If anyone is still following this thread (or - like me - wanting to find out if a Havaş or Muttaş bus will be stopping at the international terminal after picking up passengers from the domestic terminal), the following link might be useful:
http://www.atmairport.aero/Dalaman_en/ucus_gelis_ichatlar.php
This is the official Dalaman airport website which shows all departures and arrivals at both terminals for a given day. I assume that the domestic flight times are the same throughout the week, or at least weekdays (weekends might be different) during the winter months.

Following on from my earlier post, my friend is due to arrive at Dalaman International via Thomas Cook at 13:30pm on February 19th but I have been unable to find a shuttle service to get her to Calis - and there is a 7 hour wait for the next Havaş or Muttaş buses to arrive via the domestic terminal.
If anyone is planning to drive to Dalaman to pick up friends/relatives on that flight and has a spare seat available I would happily pay for the petrol ... of if they plan to pay £40 or whatever for a taxi I will share the fare. :)
