We at the 3C's held our Annual General Meeting yesterday and we can now officially announce that the total amount of money raised for disadvantaged children in the Fethiye area during the 2014 fundraising year (1 September 2013 to 31 August 2014) was a record-breaking 102,666.27 TL.
We knew that we were getting close to the 100,000 mark but had to wait in suspense for our treasurer, Liz101, to finalise the accounts before we knew the final net total. This beats last years total by over 15,000TL.
We are also pleased to confirm that we completed a record number of projects during the 2014 fundraising year as well as helped a record number of individual youngsters, thereby helping to change a lot of young lives and the lives of their families for the better.
These results can only be achieved through the continuing support, generosity and kindness of the many people who donate both money and goods to our charity, attend our events, buy things from our charity shop, enter our raffles and take part in H's many competitions. We all sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this support.
The charity's annual report detailing how all of the money was raised and where it was spent together with a full financial statement of the accounts will be published to our website, hopefully by the end of next week. I will post the link when it is ready.

An amazing amount of money raised. Also thanks to Pi55y for keeping us up to date as to where the money goes. It is also ironic that the day these results are published is on the eve of the birthday of Highlander who has this charity deep in his heart, and who dreams up so many schemes to persuade us tp cough up our cash and support the 3Cs ;)

Yes, we hope that it is a great birthday present for Highlander, who through his many hare-brained schemes which border on the edge of genius, has helped us at the 3C's to raise a lot of money through the generosity of forum members. I mean who else would think up an imaginary bus and have people paying extra for VIP window seats with extra legroom to sit next to special people who they do not know other than through the means of this forum, to go to places that are nowehere - and it doesn't exist anyway - sheer Genius ;)

I am naturally very grateful to pi55y and echogirl1 for their kind words.
But please, please, it’s you the members of this forum (provided by Mr Campbell) who helped raised such a wonderful total.
I am fortunate to get the Minutes of 3C’s Meetings and the amount of work that goes into raising that amount of money is simply staggering.
So please keep this thread for praising the wonderful people at the 3C’s in Turkey for their unstinting, tireless efforts on behalf of those less fortunate than themselves.

and well done to Highlander for dreaming up all the money earning missions, it takes a special kind of person to keep money earning ideas flowing throughout the year, and extra special people to see it through. :)

I have to say that I have failed to learn from my World Cup Bus debacle :) and am pressing ahead with an ambitious venture to be revealed soon.
