I'll have to find mine first :)

This will make some people happy! I know quite a few that have avoided the transition to photocard and consequently the palava of renewing every ten years.
"Motorists with old-style paper driving licences from before the photocard's introduction in 1998 will not be affected and can continue to use them. Under the existing rules, these older licences must be switched for a photocard when the owner updates their name, address or renews their licence."

They'll still need to check the expiry date on their licences. Plus, many EU countries will no longer accept the old style paper licences.

I am still just using a paper licence, I will change when I have to. It's saved me £20 so far. Every little helps. ;D

We are both still using the paper license,s they are starting to fall apart though, at leastw e can still use them until we do a change of address etc..
