Scunner has allowed me to start this off this year. I hope he won't regret that decision ;) and that I've done it correctly
Feel free to vote for (up to) THREE bars or restaurants - your favourites for the now closed 2014 season. Please advise of any errors and if your choice isn't listed, reply with the missing establishment's name.
As with 2013, Koca Calis will hopefully have it's own poll (if someone send a list of restaurants) so those places are not listed in this vote.
Voting from now through winter, closing January 1st. This will allow time for certificates to be made and delivered in time for the new season starting.

I doubt there will be any omission or error in that list that will ever come close to you listing Gunisik as Frank Carson's
(http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2012/2/22/1329952262694/Frank-Carson-007.jpg)
That's a cracker.
-
It's the way I list them :)
-
Don't want to be a pain but Akdeniz has become the Corner Cafe.
-
Could you possibly add Hamsi Bar, near to Mutlu Hotel? Lovely people and great place for sundowners.
-
Shanghai Nlues does come close though
-
Everybody's a critic :-[ :-[ :-[

Added with the greatest of pleasure lotty.
-
Just to update your list Shamrock Bar and Zayra 1 are no more.....
-
My 3 choices for consistent good quality and excellent service would be:
Mangal
Bambu
Calis Beach Indian
There may be more exciting menus elsewhere but these three places never let us down last visit for very good standards and the warmest of welcomes.
-
Mancheros ?
-
Mancheros would qualify as Fethiye rather than Calis..
-
Just to update your list Zayra 1 are no more.....
Zayra 1 was still there towards the end of Oct, so would still qualify for last season's awards
-
True but if they win it will have to be a posthumous award.. ;)
The Shamrock however went in 2013...
-
Susiepink - Mancero's will be in the Fethiye List which I'll do later today (after the Christmas shopping aggghhhhhhhhhh ;))
philrose - you are correct re the Shamrock. Is it now called the Ocean or the Oceana :-[
-
I will edit these changes as I see them mentioned
-
Apart from 'Frank Carsons' of course.
-
Lee's bar ?
-
That's listed as Cinar (Lee's Bar) I think ;)
-
Guitar bar
-
Is that your vote ?

No it isn't , what was Shamrock is now Sini lokantasi !! Nananananana !! ;-)
Come on " H " , if you're going to attempt to follow " The Master " with this, get with the programme !! ;-) ;-)
-
I seriously wish I hadn't bothered :( :( :(
-
Welcome to my World of the last ten years John :D

No you don't, you above most members , should have a grasp of my sense of humour, you're doing a wonderful thing !! More power to ya !
-
Go VoJo's !! & Gunisik !!!! & every where else !!
-
There is also the Cangir (think that's how it's spelt) fish restaurant next to Migros. An excellent newcomer to add to the list...
-
philrose - I see that scunner has added your suggestion here but is the place you mentioned different from canciger which is on the Fethiye list.

:)
-
Yes - It's in Calis by the Sunday market, the same family I believe.
-
Many thanks for clearing that up :)
-
Is that your vote ?
if it was meant for me then yes John, it's now my favourite place in Calis.
-
It was shamless2 - I just wondered if you had seen it on the list.
It was yours too until they screwed the volume up to Scarlett levels. :(
-
Don't forget The Motto
First restaurant on the right on the promenade. No sign of the expected chips rice and salad unless of course you want them.
-
Voting will close on the last day of January to allow time to arrange 2014 certificates. If you haven't voted yet, why not :o
Please have your say on your favourites from last year and thanks to all who have.
-
If you want to vote for your Calis favourites of 2014 now's the time - voting closes a week today exactly :)
-
1. Cinar (lee's 60's 70's and 80's bar)
2. Oceana Bar
3. Dawn Beach
Visit these three every year! Great atmospheres and lovely people!
-
Did you vote for them? :)
-
I always think this pole would be better if we just voted for 1 restaurant. The result would probably be quite different.
-
I do hope that Vojo's come out on top of the poll this year. Volkan and Jo, and the rest of their team have worked so hard to make their business a success, have supported both Embrace and Animal Aid in their fund-raising efforts, and throughout the winter months have done their best to give us exiles a place where we can meet up, enjoy a meal or a drink or two (or three or four etc) in companionable surroundings. I am gutted that they cannot continue in their present location, but I'm looking forward to the new Vojo's rising like a Phoenix from the ashes.
-
Unless I am mistaken I make that
Winner 2014: Vojo's
2nd (Highly Commended): Meeting Point
3rd (Highly Commended): Casa Di Mama
Congrats to all, certificates to follow :)
-
Very well deserved and just reward for some very hard work by Volkan and Jo and all their staff.
Congratulations also to The Meeting Point and Casa di Mama both of where we enjoyed lovely meals and good service.
-
A special mention for Frank Cannons who offer fabulous value and came in fourth!
-
Frank who ? :)
-
As a Calis virgin, can you tell me where Frank Cannon's is in relation to Cenk's office, please. ;)
-
Same side, around 5 nearer the sea Kev
Now I've written that I wonder if it is true :D
-
When you don't need a virgin, two come along together. ;D
-
Well done Vojo's. :)
