Enjoy your well earned retirement John - thanks for all your help in mending CBF in the past. Let me know when you want to meet up for lunch at that Italian in Dundee. You know, the one with the waitress  ;)

If you can fit me in that is amongst all the travels :D

Excellent, that's what retirement should be about for as long as possible.

For us next year it's Singapore, Australia (Sydney), New Zealand for 3 weeks, then back across to Australia (Sunshine Coast), then Hong Kong, then back home for 6 weeks and over to Calis for two weeks in June!   ;D

The rest of the year is undecided yet    ;)

Enjoy your travels and retirement!

If you're stepping down as a moderator, can I propose that my mate Lance gets the chance to takeover.  :)

Have fun JF. You will enjoy the cathedral and the Parador next door is not too shabby either! Santiago worth the pilgrimage!

Thanks folks.

Maybe I should swap the CMax for an old VW bus then...

Let me know when you want to meet up for lunch at that Italian in Dundee. You know, the one with the waitress   ;)
I will make an effort to fit you in, somewhere between the Iberian Peninsula and Vietnam  :)

Funny thing is I never was (or wanted) to be a moderator on here.  They do a thankless task at times and I have no where near the patience required.

I am.  However my better half got early retirement with a pension bump so it made us have a think about how many folks end up working till they drop.  Factor in the way things are going in the legal industry in Istanbul for (foreign) external consultants and it was an easy decision to make.

We've got a one way ferry ticket to Le Havre at the end of the week and its gonna be good not having to constantly check emails and deal with stupid misogynistic Turkish solicitors who bitch about every item on an invoice, query an entry for 20tl and then promptly spend the equivalent of 300-500tl worth of billable time arguing over the 20tl.

On the basis we've just treated ourselves to a shiny new (posh) camera, I may even get round to posting a few piccies on here.

And remember, phuck Facebook...  you've got a brilliant resource here for all things Fethiye/Calis - use it or lose it.
