We were married in 1973.

Yesterday I bought a new pair of trousers.

On returning home I calculated that if my inside leg measurement had increased in proportion to the increase in my waist measurement between those two dates, I would now be seven foot six.

Now, hands up those who would have preferred I post that in the other place  ;).
