Post by: Karennina on December 02, 2014, 06:33:53 AM
Dies anyone know whether you can still get DVDs like any new releases through the winter months please? I know Hasan is finished until next season, Cafe Pazar ones are always good quality but I wondered whether it is a seasonal thing re new releases...

I bought the first four series of Downton Abbey at the last car boot sale for 45 lira. We managed to watch the first episode OK but the next one just froze, on checking the DVD there was  a big scratch on it.  I hope to get a refund at the next coot sale.

There is a DVDS shop called Gozde on the other side of the road from Seckin in Gunlukbasi. He has a book with DVD in and will burn them while you wait. All the ones we have had have been good quality.

Don no need to wait until the next car boot. He is at the Monday market in HisarönĂ¼ (unless he is on holiday which he did last year after the end of the season) and will change it no problem.

Actually I have realised Murat will almost certainly be at the Christmas fair on Sunday Don, if you are one of the 5000 people planning on going    :)

So that will be business as usual then - you can almost guarantee rain on car boot and Christmas fair days.

Hopefully the passing shower will come well after 4pm

Actually, it's more than 2 years since a car boot was completely washed out.

As for Christmas Fair. last year was very warm & sunny throughout. In any event all the stalls are under cover, so even a passing shower needn't be a deal breaker. Once all the stallholders have set up, the atmosphere is brilliant regardless of the weather.
