Title: A different twist on the G.&.T.
Post by: Jacqui Harvey on December 29, 2014, 10:30:58 AM
We were in Edinburgh this month and visited the Pickering's Gin Distillery.  Can thoroughly recommend this lovely Scottish Gin.  They also let us try it with a slice of grapefruit.   I now, ever since our visit, have grapefruit in my gin as it is so nice.
I would suggest G.&.T. drinkers to give the grapefruit a try.
If you are in Edinburgh, go and visit this Distiller and try the gin.    ;)

I don't understand why you have sufficient room for a slice, whoever thin, of anything   ;)

Only a small slice is needed.   As you can see we will need to buy another bottle for the New Year.
Pickering's is the first Gin Distillery to be established in Edinburgh for 150 years.  It is on the site of the Old Royal Dick Veterinary School.   Even has a pub in the courtyard called The Old Dick.

Is that the Summerhall Distillery that's in the old Veterinary Hospital?

Typical, not a grapefruit in the house....
Will definitely give it a try Jacqui thanks.  Will make a change from my little, green oranges (in the freezer from my last Calis trip) which are running out!

Yes KKOB that is it.  http://www.pickeringsgin.com
Let us know what you think of it Bluwise.   We don't usually eat grapefruit, but now have a couple in the fridge. Pickering's recommend the grapefruit with the red flesh.
