Title: Splash postponed

I have just heard that due to the bad weather and big waves that todays Splash has  been postponed.

The event has been rescheduled for this Saturday at 1.00 pm - same place.

Sorry about the late notice but the organisers decided that the conditions were too dangerous for the splashers -better to be safe than sorry,

Saturdays weather is looking a  lot better so hope to see everyone then  :)

With huge waves crashing all the way up the beach to the sea wall (& beyond where there are steps down to the beach) it really was too dangerous to continue with the splash today. On the plus side, the beach is probably as clean & evenly sandy as I have ever seen it.

Hope to see as many as possible on Saturday, same time same place

What a difference a day makes brilliant sunshine this morning. The forecast is good for the next three days so Splash is definitely on  for tomorrow.
Hopefully it will be a great day and makes lots of money for the charities.

I've been to the beach earlier today, sea conditions are back to normal for the time of year. There were several yachts sailing around Red Island / Letoonia, so can't be bad out there either.

Erhan & Nalan have promised their famous hot dog barbecue & a brazier to warm all the intrepid splashers, so it's all systems go for tomorrow   :)
