Never been to this place and have heard mixed reviews....does anybody know if it is open at the moment, and if so, do they do pick up service? Also what are food and prices like....thanksd
-
Prices are good as is the food, open all year round and yes they do pick ups.
The website appears to be down at the moment but they have a facebook page here...

Yes open all year.
We are going up to Sunday brunch on , believe it or not, Sunday.
I believe the brunch has gone up to around 17 for a 3 course meal and we are getting picked up

It was having a makeover when we were there in January....the inside was all knocked out. Looking forward to seeing the finished product in May.

Great place and lovely people. Food is excellent and has the added bonus of a pick up and drop off should you require it. You also get free entry to the tombs behind the restaurant.
-
Really nice place, great food and lovely staff. Go on a Saturday and they have entertainment.
Prices are so reasonable considering they pick you up and drop you off.
We would never miss a visit or two when we are over.

Been 3 times and very unimpressed each time. Like you say, mixed reviews...
-
They weren't too pleased with us turning up by taxi. Apparently they like to know how many are coming!

A must for us when we are in Calis, lovely staff, great views over Fethiye, good food and their house organic wine is delicious!! They pick u up and take you back at no charge and look after you well. The Saturday night singer is very good and the evening usually rounds off with some dancing. As has already been mentioned, free entry to the tombs behind the restaurant is included, though I have never been. Will definitely be back in June.

They ask you to book ahead as the place is not big and if it is, say, a Saturday the place is usually booked up.
As they pick up and drop off free, no point in getting a taxi
I note a "littlereddevil" from Scotland on the T.A. Forum telling members that "Calis is not a very nice place"
Perhaps just a coincidence..... :o : :)

Tried this place after seeing a lot of good reviews but never went back. Very tatty (but I see the bit above about a refurb), unwelcoming staff and the food was swimming in grease.
-
We have never found the place tatty. Of course it is not like the Ritz but it has always been clean and tidy with nice linen on the tables. As for the Staff we have always found them really friendly and welcoming. I remember the first time we went there Sahil the Manager really welcomed us and the singer Shelley came over and sat with us and had a chat. We have always enjoyed the food and found it very good. They only have a small kitchen but the quality and variety of food they produce is amazing. We even had a Sunday Lunch last time and again it was as good as any Sunday Lunch in the U.K.

Never had suday lunch might try it this Sunday.

We can't all like the same places, each to their own etc but tatty? Come on!!!

The building is what it is and I remember it when it was Salih's dad selling freshly squeezed orange juice to passers by and that was it! What they have done with that shell is phenominal.

We went there last year on back of good reviews, lovely views, friendly people, but I do agree it was sort of "tatty" and the food (three different dishes) was very bland so won't be going back again.
-
Please define "tatty" I am interested to know ??
-
We have been 3 times and think the food was great and service was excellent.
Views over the roof tops may not be to everyone's tastes (and could be described as tatty) but generally speaking we like it and will be back.
-
You can't call a place tatty because it looks over roofs that could be described as tatty!!

I didn't call the place tatty. :)
-
I didn't say you called it tatty :)
How many places in Turkey aren't a bit tatty anyway - that's what we used to like about it, now it's a bad thing ;)
-
My impression was tatty as the table cloth looked about 20 years old with hardly any colour left in it , the plate was chipped and the whole place just looked a bit cobbled together and tired. It just didn't match the reviews I had seen.

It was the rustic look that we enjoyed when we went and certainly couldn't fault the food. Each to their own as they say!
