A great all-rounder and captain, and an outstanding commentator. RIP.

And a thoroughly decent man by all accounts Colwyn.

Will be sadly missed.

Yes, he was a doyen.  The BBC cricket commentary was never quite the same when he left in 2005.  He brought an unflustered insight to the game.

Interestingly, he died of skin cancer that he put down to not wearing a hat/cap when playing under full sun in the 1950's/60's.
