Title: Easy jet Dalaman end
Post by: Karennina on April 12, 2015, 11:38:20 AM
Can anyone tell me please whether when flying with Easyjet if we do not have to print our own boarding passes for the Dalaman side of things, we did not have to last year but things seem to change re Turkey pretty often I don't want to risk getting a charge...thanks in advance...

If you have a smart phone you can down load the EasyJet app and they will then scan the bar code from your phone.

Yes, with easyJet - check in online and print off boarding pass for Dalaman.

I don't have a smart phone but I think it may be time to get one! Thank you though for the info, I will print them off for our return flights just to be on the safe side  ;)

Works well until you have 4 boarding passes to show, at such times the paper ones are far quicker  :)

Just noticed that the Easyjet site says:

Due to local regulations in place at Dalaman, your online boarding pass does not allow you into the departure area, so you must present yourself at BAG DROP to receive a validation stamp from our team. Failure to present yourself at BAG DROP at least 60 minutes prior to scheduled flight departure time will result in you being unable to fly.

Has anyone used a home printed boarding pass WITHOUT going to the check-in desk (ie no baggage).

Thanks

Ian

We always travel with luggage, but we have seen people with just hand luggage being told to book in along with us but that might have changed since.

I went to check in last year with just hand luggage and home printed boarding card. Told we didn't need to check in and went straight to passport etc. no problems.

Can anyone advise what is the latest on weather you need to check in at Dalaman if you only have hand luggage and already have a boarding pass with Easy Jet or can you just go direct to passport control ?

Last year we were told no need to check in again.

I flew back in April with just hand luggage but having read the advice from Easy Jet I checked in at the desk. My bag was 12.2kg so the guy asked me to take out my laptop and carry it. The bag then weighed less than the 10kg allowance and he passed it. I walked about 20 feet away from the desk and put the laptop back in my bag. The guy saw me do this but didn't bat an eyelid.

Why would you even consider not checking in if the advice says you will not be allowed to fly if you don't have a validation stamp? That's some risk to take if you think they might be joking.

EasyJet don't have a weight limit on hand luggage, are you sure you didn't fly with another airline?  ???

We flew back (on Easyjet) on 28th April). We did not go to the check-in desk and just went through security showing our  home printed boarding passes.

No problem at all - they were accepted without question at security and at the gate.

There is no weight limit in hand luggage - just a size limit.
