Hi. Arriving in Calis 11th May. Will the dolmus to Ghost Town and the water taxi home from Fethiye be running this early in the season please? So want to show my friend who has not been before. Pam

Dolmus definitely will be running Pam.
I think the Water Taxi starts on 1 May so you should be ok with that too.
-
Where do you get the Dolmus to Kaya,do you have to go to Fethiye change at the mosque?
-
If you're coming from Calis, yes. Or you can catch it at the Otogar or anywhere inbetween.

Hi. What quick replies. First time I've used this forum too. Thanks folks.
Can I impose on your kindness again please?
1 Can I change large notes [lira] for smaller ones and coins for free at banks in Fethiye?
2 Any nice walks around Calis. My friend and I both mature women in our 60s - like a good walk but not serious 'ramblers'.
3 What are the Nomad Tents I read on this forum?
Thanks

No bother changing notes at banks or at the Bureau or even friendly local bars/ restaurants.
Depends how far you want to walk but you can go along the prom up to Koca Calis or the other way to the Sat or go further round and join the new prom and stroll into Fethiye.Take a Dolmus to Fethiye then stroll along the harbour,Pas Partur, fish market, shopping centre or a short steep walk up to the rock tombs and enjoy the views from the Kings Garden whilst having a nice cold drink.
Nomad or Yoruk tents are on the prom before you get as far as the Sat restaurant ,never been but my understanding is they are a traditional/typical Turkish night out where you sit on cushions on the floor, smoke shisha, eat, drink cay and watch Turkish music/dancing.

There are a few of the restaurants in Kaya that will pick you up and take you back for free. Istanbul is one,you can spend the day by their pool, have lunch and a walk around the village and they will then take you back.
