Title: Taxi Fares
Post by: Pussinboots on April 27, 2015, 10:31:35 AM
If anyone has taken a Taxi ride recently from or to Calis  (long or short hops) please leave the price so others can use for budgeting etc..

Also recommended Taxi Drivers and how to contact them.

Yes that would be good, but have you seen that the price of the Calis Water Taxi - one way - has gone up to 7TL?

Angela and I refused to use taxis for 10 years of holidaying in Calis, due to their continual haranguing and what seemed to be extortionate prices on their 'boards'. But since living here (and bad weather necessity) have realized that their metered prices are very reasonable (12TL from the otogar to top of Deliktas and 50TL for seven people from the amphitheatre to kulele koyu)

I'm just curious as to what an "Anti Response" is?

You seem to consider yourself a breed apart from the members of CBF who choose not to live in Turkey full time.  I've noticed a theme to a few of your posts that denigrate those who give opinions about Turkey, but don't actually reside there.  These snidey little digs just show what a small man you are (that ring any bells?) and illustrate that it is you, not them, that haven't a clue how to live anywhere.

In my (personal) opinion you're on the wrong forum.  Maybe you should hunt down a forum populated solely by ignorant, racist, bigots who reside full time in Turkey?

Just my humble iki kuruş worth...

I think that could well count as an "Anti-Response" John.

Scorcher

Can you please explain to me what you appear to find wrong with the following:

A CBF member helps another member of the Forum with useful information for which they express their gratitude.

 :( :( :(

Sorry Pussinboots I meant to say when are you there?   The Turkish Mobile is with our Maintenance people in Calis who top it up for us.   I seem to think you are over beforel us, so I will see if we have his card somewhere.

Thank you for your kind words John, by the way I am 6 foot and 15 stone, never done any Campanology though. Really looking forward to meeting you one day.  ;)

If you regularly come to Fethiye for a Holiday why not hire a car for the first 1 or 2 days then you can get all the shopping done plus your transfer from the airport included for a lot less than a couple of taxi trips.
