My passport runs out in September , was going to send it off soon for new one but now the boss wants to come to Calis again this month , am I still ok to book as it has less than 6 month to run
-
I am sure you need 6mths left on the passport Stuart
-
That's what I thought, looks like we will have to wait till September
-
Think you need at least 60 days after your visa expires, whether evisa or residency.
-
Meant to say, info on Yellali site.
-
If you have less than 6 months and need to get a visa, when you apply on-line and put in the date your passport expires, they will then not let you proceed to get your visa.
-
If you are coming in on an evisa you also have to have two months left on your passport past the expiry date of the visa, there is a thread on here about it I was reading it the other day as we are in a eimilr situation for our visit iin August....

Thanks for replies, we would have been alright to travel but changed mind and opted for Croatia instead, just have to renew passports when we get back and then hopefully back out to Calis in September

I have been doing ours today I did not realise you could do it online which I have done paid and printed everything off. just got to go to get the dreaded photos done get them signed and send it all off, once you have started the application online it is kept open for you up to 90 days though if you don't carry on with the application you do not get your money refunded! ;)

My passport had less than 6 months to run so i renewed it. The remaining months are added onto the 10years so I now have a passport valid for 10yrs 5 months. All countries want a minimum of 6 months left. By adding remainder on you dont loose out. otherwise u would be renewing every 9.5 years
