Great, if you like that sort of thing. I've never been able to sit around a pool at all, and lying on a beach I find I can sometimes manage 45 minutes but then start to get fidgety. I start trying to think up excuses to tell Hilary. "You know that new restaurant we saw? I think I'll wander past there and check out the menu for tonight. Then I might have a look to see what's happening round the harbour. I'll stop at the X Bar for an Efes on the way back if you want to meet me there at 12.30ish". Since being diagnosed with skin cancer I have the perfect excuse for walking places under a big hat and then finding some shade and sitting in it.

What is there not to like?
Being surrounded by concrete buildings and overlooked from all angles by the looks of it.
-
I'm sure you would refuse it if offered. What a nasty, hostile comment - you shouldn't have even bothered. Nothing good to say? Say nothing.
-
Just as well we all like different things otherwise we would all end up doing the same things in the same place and then it would be overcrowded none of us would like it.

looks nice Jacqui :)

jsp51. We have five villas as our neigbhours on this plot. I should have put our view from the other side, uninterupted views of the farm fields and the mountains, so not surrounded by concrete... Some pictures of the views from our windows and balconies and especially our garden.
Colywn, we have never been to the beach, we don't like beaches. We do like to relax at the side of the pool and read books under our parasols and just chill out. We love the fact it is just us and no one else around, all we hear is the occasion cockeral crowing or see the lady with her goats and say hello. We can get up and go out when we want to, at the moment, it is Phil's first holdiay since he reitred and he is loving it.

Sitting in the shade, with a glass at your elbow, reading a book. Yeah, I could do that. Would prefer the sound of waves coming gently ashore as the background theme; but it is not compulsory.

Well, if you come over, we will get a backing track for you :)

jacqui it looks wonderful......going a tad off topic but the bottle of wine reminded me, i think it may of been a previous post of yours when you compared a turkish red wine to a rioja?? if you know more could you share your secret please.

We try lots of wines over here (for research purposes only you understand :) )
I cannott remember which red that was, sorry.
The white we had today was surprising good, bought it in Kipa. I don't often drink white, but this one was very refreshing.
Details:- Smyrna Sauvignon Blanc Trebbiano 2012
Dry white wine.

Lovely picture Jacqui. Phil must be delighted that his daily life doesn't revolve around the clock, now he's retired. Enjoy every minute of this special time of your lives. :D
