We are arriving on the 23rd of June for 2 weeks, Are there any special events within that period that we could go to and support?
Last year we went to the Rod Stewart night and had a such a laugh and of course it was great to meet some of the members on here.

Rod is on again on the 18th June, you are lucky to be there when he is on.

Except that Cheffy doesn't arrive until nearly a week later :(

Give the Istanbul in Kayakoy a try. Excellent entertainment and free pick up and drop off. only 60 TL for the set three course meal. I would recommend it. :) It is on a Wednesday night now.

60tl? Is that right?
Was 40 last year and heard it had gone up to 50tl.
Johns sure he saw an ad recent,y for 50tl, which said includes pick up.
It's a great night out, but I wouldn't personally pay 60tl

A taxi would cost that much without the pick up! I think it's an excellent price. £15? Pick up all food and entertainment thrown in. . Amazing.

Try Mozaik Bache taster sessions on Saturdays. Only 30tl, excellent value. :)

I have the literature somewhere, so I will check. However, even if it was 60 TL. This included a pick up from Calis. First course was help yourself from a massive and I mean massive long table of fresh meze type food with bread and savoury pastries. We were all invited to go back for seconds. Next we had picked mixed grill, so lamb chop, beefburger, chicken, peppers, tomatoes, cucumber, during the course, the waiters came around with more food and topped up plates Next we had chosen cheese cake, it was a large piece which was lovely and again the waiters came around with more helpings. So as much food as you can eat is available no skimping.
The entertaining, was fabulous, with Jody singing and Ufuk her husband on the saxophone and another guy on the electric organ(will find out his name) They did a couple of sets and the second set everyone got up to dance. We would have paid 100TL each for this and still though it to be cheap. Lastly we were taken back to Calis and dropped right at our door.
N.B. A lot of people would remember Jody and Ufuk from Calis Beach. We saw them last year when they did a small set at the end of the Animal Aid night at Vojo's in October.

I guess it's the same old thing for us living on lira Lotty...it's a big price hike when on a budget and have our own car, then drinks on top.
When I was here on holiday I wouldn't hesitate, as you say it equates to £15. But when you live here thats 2 weeks veg shopping at the market.
I'm glad to see its 50 not 60 and would go as a treat or special occasion.

Back on topic Cheffy "Rod" is going to do one further charity gig at Lees Bar before the end of his holiday. This will be on July 3 so you will be here for that. Unfortunately you will just miss the 3Cs Charity Promises Auction as this takes place on Thursday July 9.

merhaba restaurant on a Saturday night is worth a visit. Gordon McLeod plays a wide selection of music,60s 70s rock and roll and country. Place is always full so you might have to book a table.

Yes its live. And gets pretty lively in the last hour.Worth a visit.
