I didn't realise I could pre-order my shower gel, hairspray etc from Boots online and then collect from their airside outlet on our way out. That means less weight in the hold luggage -which is always on the limit. :-[ With Monarch, we are allowed a small duty free bag in addition to the usual hand luggage so that works out well.
-
It was news to me too Bluewise. Did you read it in the Boots magazine like me? :D
Well worth looking into though.
-
I was just curious when I was ordering some other stuff to collect locally - I put the airport in and Bob's your Uncle!
-
Yes it has been like this for a long tme. A lot of Mum's order their baby stuff to be collected and I know you can order tolietries too. I think I had a leaflet about this once when I got my points update from Boots.
However, I would not bother having to take them on the plane with my duty free, as you can get toiletries in Fethiye. The Gratis group which are just like Super Drug have all the things you will need, lots of British brands and all the usual cosmetics including Maybelline and L'Oreal etc., they also sell Aussie Miracle. They have some Turkish brands which I like called Golden Rose, bought some to take home for my Daughter to try. Gratis have two branches in Feithiye onee in the Erasta Shopping centre and one smaller one in the back shopping street in Fethiye just along from Cafe Cafe. The also have a chill cabinet with sugar free slimline drinks. There is a nice cranberry one also iced tea. Bought six yesterday quite litle the cranberry with gin.

Not sure where Cafe Cafe is but I know where the Mulberry Tree is, is it near there Jacqui?

Kind of, Cafe Cafe & Gratis are in the covered arcade, with Dikmen jewellers on the corner, so about 100 yds before the Mulberry Tree

Walk across the road from Migros in the town centre.. Opposit is the Chemist all the Brits use. Then when you cross keep right. Walk on and when you come to the lane with D.&.P Perfumes on the corner, turn up this lane at the top is Cafe Cafe to the right of Cafe Cafe you will see Gratis. There are some very nice shops in this lane with some really good value clothes.
-
Thank you. I know where D&P is so that really helps.

I am complying a list with details of shops in Fethiye, there are so many new and really good ones, we are now spoilt for choice.
-
I don't particularly like shopping at the best of times and I certainly don't want to spend the start of my precious holiday time looking round for toiletries, not being sure I can get the ones I want.
Online shopping for me! ;D

Love shopping and love looking at new stuff. We bought Shampoo and Conditioner from Gratis in a lovely Aqua Coloured packaging it is in the Gliss Range which we get at home. However, checked with my daughter the blue was is not avaiable at home, it is really good and with the way the sun dries out hair here is ideal. It makes your hair really shiny. Phil is loving it and I think we wil have to take some back with us. Also bonus, it is really cheap. Plus there are a lot of things in Gratis to take home as gifts.

I picked up this shampoo/conditioner set in BIM a few weeks back as they had the both for 9tl , aswell as the light brown bottle and dark brown bottled ones (though these smell like coffee so was bit put off by those.. ???). Haven't tried them yet but I quite like schwartzkopf stuff anyway ☺️
I do like the D'alan olive shampoo & conditioner aswell as makes hair lovely and shiny and it smells loovely

I don't remember seeing the blue bottles of shampoo and conditioner before what hair type are they for please Jacqui? I would love shiny hair my hair is naturally curly and normally ends up horridly frizzy in the heat of Turkey :o
-
Seems to be for any hair. Phil's hair was very dry and is now really shiny. I have quite dry hair ' that can curl up. This stuff worked for me too. The black set is also good too , think that is for coloured hair, will have to go up to the bathroom to check
-
Thanks Jacqui I'm going to get some of the blue bottle one, looking forward to having a mooch around this shop :)
-
If you can manage it, go to the branch in Erasta, it is a bigger shop with more stock.
-
The black bottles of Gliss are for damaged hair. :)
