The spivs who ruined the country were voted out of office at the last election leaving Tsipras to clear up the mess. This is an impossible task when the EU's most powerful government, Germany, is motivated by a vindictive desire to make the Greeks suffer rather than join in sensible financial decision making - as was pointed out by the IMF (of all people!).

The people who ruined Greece were the crooks who were voted out at the last elections >:( for over 65 years the so called elites in Greece fleeced the economy and kept their friends well supplied with favours, privileges and money. At the very least Tsipras and his team can do no worse, only time will tell. As for the Greek people, one can only hope that things improve reasonably quickly although if their German "partners" get their way I do not think so. Indeed, one must think (before we seem to gloat) how would we feel as a country if we were in the same predicament. :( :(
