I am out with my son for three weeks in August and am looking for something different for us to do when we are there, we are planning a boat trip, as normal but would like some some suggestions from those who know something different. Whatever it is!
-
I was going to suggest a fishing trip but you've already got that covered.
There are go carts and a small fun fair in Hisarönü and bowling at the Erasta shopping centre.
Also there is a new last year water park in Ovacık or Ölüdeniz
Have a good time :)

What age of son?
-
My son is 13 and will try anything, guess what! so will I so I don't mind if its from bowling to parascending! the more ideas the better (links are helpful) well you only live once hahahahaha!

A jeep safari is a real fun day. We liked going with Karacay, the big cream coloured jeeps. Bookable in Calis http://www.karacayturizm.com/
-
Saklikent Gorge is a good day out...

Trip to Ephesus was the highlight of my last visit. Loved it.
-
A male bonding 'blow out lunch' of spicy lentil soup and yarim (or two each!!) at the Gar Lokantasi, Fethiye mmmmmmmmm.......
-
We went here last yeat it is like total wipeout and my husband and sons (22 and 18) had a fab time, there were plenty of youngsters there around your sons age also.

I can also recommend the jeep safari it is a real fun day if a very long one but be prepared to get soaking wet.
My husband and eldest son also did the diving together and they both thoroughly enjoyed it.
We are going back now in 3 wek time and cannot wait.
Where are you staying ?
Hope these suggestions help

Nothing involving quad bikes or scooters!!! One dead and two injured so far this season and thousand of pounds worth of debt for the families.
-
I agree, definitely a no to quad bikes or scooters, much as it looks a good idea its what it would cost if things go wrong, I have been out there enough times to know its not worth the risk
-
Try some Kite surfing lessons at the Surf Club.

Well all these suggestions should keep you very busy! Have a great holiday. :D
PS UBT, what is yarim?
-
If you're up for a laugh, then there's the mud baths!!!! I went, but nothing, absolutely nothing, could/would make go in lol
-
PS UBT, what is yarim?
Half a standard turkish loaf stuffed with doner meat or doner chicken, plus salad and mayo/ketchup to taste plus to give it that extra buzz a dusting of chilli flakes and a few chillis... again to personal taste. BTW the Gar Lokantasi serves meat doner and it is the best in town 7TL for the best giant sanwich in the world. Best place for chicken doner yarim (3.5TL) is the place next to the patiseri which is opposite the bakers/police station on the Gunlabasi Road at the Uzumlu turn off x -road, but don't tell Frank canon or Mrs Canon at the Gunlis Restaurant that I said so!!
The other beauty of these two places is that because they are so popular there is a quick turnover of the meat.
-
Thanks UBT, that sounds right up our street! Especially chillies and all! :P thanks for the info. :D
-
I took my Son Go Karting a couple of years ago on the Uzumlu road, arranged it with the excursion office opposite Brothers Restaurant. We were picked up and dropped off with no problems - great fun!
-
A boat trip is a must!
-

you can Watch football on the TV there and there is also a computer as well enjoy
-
good pool table at the Eyna bar and cracking music too!

Are there 2 Gar lokantasi's? Is the 1 you are talking about opposite the new shopping centre in Fethiye?

The usual advice on this forum is that before you go to Turkey to try something exciting and adventurous it would be a good idea to check that your travel insurance covers you and your son for this.
