Not in Calis, but the one a lot of us on this Forum use Cagatay Aras.  He is also a member here.
Cannot recommend him more highly.   He is in Fethiye, so not that far to go for the best treatment.

There is a dentist above the Sechkin in Gunlukbasi.  You enter from the side road opposite the barber.
Have heard good reports about her

You are a very lucky man Steve - having a dental emergency while in Calis. Mine invariably occur two weeks after getting home from Turkey.

We're off to the state dentist in Fethiye today, free if you have sgk and apparently they do all sorts, not just emergencies.
Went in to make an appointment on Monday and it's very very smart.
Fingers crossed all goes well.

Phil had his gold fillings removed and replaced with white ones.   Cagatay gave the gold ones back to him.  I had not even though about it, but when I got home I sold the fillings along with some scrap gold I had from my business.
So, remember not to discard any old fillings you may have.

All went well at the Dental Hospital.
We were shown to floor 3, the place is huge, no idea how many dentists but I would guess at least 10.
Spotlessly clean, modern, new furniture and equipment.

No charge with SgK for Johns filling.

A few months ago he was quoted over 2000tl for a bridge and porcelains and if not done he will lose those teeth.

We asked about this today and the dentist said that even with sgk we would have to pay towards it.
The existing fillings will all have to be replaced with white ones and he needs 10 porcelains.
We said we would like to know the cost.
He made some phonecalls.

The cost will be.....20tl each tooth!!!!
200tl.
I asked twice if this is definitely for everything and was told yes, Government Insurance very good.

Work starts at 3pm tomorrow.

Just astounding!

Any idea how much to replace with porcelain without having sgk?

I have a head full of the amalgam, shiny silver things and costs over here to replace them - even with NHS - are sky high.

Not sure if it's possible as a visitor to make an appointment for my next visit (or the visit after that if the gnashers hold out that long).

Thanks

Sorry Jacqui

I see you've posted a website for the dentist - I should have read your post more thoroughly!

I've had a look and it seems to be just the ticket.

Can't find costs but I will make contact with them.

Thanks.

No sorry Stuart, didn't ask that question.
It's behind the old Devlet, which is opposite the kargo office opposite the canal as you go towards Fethiye from Calis, after the big Migros after you turn at the traffic lights.
Or... Opposite Sahil lokanta next to Migros walk down the side of the garden centre road and you'll see it in front of you,

You need an appointment.
If you don't speak Turkish get someone to help.
You dial 182 from your phone, they'll ask for you 99 number, and which hospital you want, you tell them Mugla Fethiye Ağız ve diş, name etc and book a time to go.

They have a reception desk, but you cannot make an appointment there we discovered, you have to ring 182
