Title: Rental advice
Post by: KathB on September 14, 2015, 18:37:09 PM
Hi we recently visited calis again and I was advised by a british girl living there to rent an apartment for a month in August she reckons the cost would be 800 lira? Does anybody know if I can do this and what companies to get in touch with?

Looking at the cost of flights next year this is the only way we would be able to afford to come back and I would rather try to arrange this and put money into the bars n cafes there otherwise it will be cheap flights to Spain which I really don't want to do

I'm not sure you would get an apartment for that price even if that's the price per week.  We've rented  several apartments over the years and usually pay around £280 to £300 per week and that's June and September. You may want to look at some of the hotels that have apartments which would probably work out cheaper than  a private rental. Others on here may be able to give better advice but will be interesting to see what you could find at that price assuming you mean 800 lira for the month.

I very much doubt you would get an apartment for 800TL for the month of August, it's peak season and holiday rental apartments are very busy at that time of year and the highest fees. 800TL is the typical monthly rental for a year round tenant not a holiday let. In fact furnished 2 bed apartments are now fetching up to 1500TL monthly for long term rental. You could try some of the apart hotels but the facilities are usually pretty basic.
