I had a soda stream shipped over so that I could make my own, I also take a bottle out in the evenings and leave in bars so that I can have a G&T.

I understand that not everyone can grasp the importance, but it has to be slimline/diet tonic.  It is not the calorie content its the taste, vodka or gin do not taste the same without it !!!

Shamless, that is a good idea.  I have checked and they do slimline tonic, the problem being.  I could buy one but I doubt I could take the gas canister on the plane.  Do the sell them in Turkey???
Thanks.

Can't you take it in your hold luggage Jacqui? You can take hot brush gas cylinders I think.   :)

Sadly probably not - according to the Sodastream FAQ

Quote
Can I take my carbonator on the plane?
SodaStream advises against carrying carbonators on an airplane. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has restrictions that prohibit compressed gas cylinders in carry-on items as well as in checked baggage.

Still waiting to see if they sell the gas canisters in Turkey ??  If they do, I will buy a soda stream and bring it over.

no we had them shipped over, with the people in the card shop Fethiye, they do the "shoe box" delivery service, we fit 3 canisters in a very large shoe box, they have a van which travels over twice a year, we packed soda stream and several slim line tonic syrups in our suitcases, it goes a long way, I'm sure it will be years before we have to get more.

Cartridges appear to be the same, knock yourself out with fizzy drinks...

I might use this as my Avatar later on.     I can see the village from my window.  This is the golf course that Phil is a member of and plays at most weeks.  The church with its churchyard, is where my parents are buried and it is open every day so people can just go in and sit and have some quiet time if they want to.  It also has a font dating back to 1100 and has connections with King Canute.
This proves, IMHO that Scotland is a beautiful place.
