Title: oscar pistorius
Post by: kevin3 on December 03, 2015, 08:48:03 AM
Pistorius has just been found guilty of murder. Quite rightly I think. Justice for Reeva at last. RIP,

Agreed.

Now let's hope he gets at least the minimum 15 years less the one already served.

At last common sense has prevailed... Let's hope he gets sent back to prison instead of the cushy home detention where he is allowed out to train and visit friends...

No doubt he will appeal and this will drag on again.

I don't think he's got a leg to stand on now.

It'll certainly drag on if they take his 'legs' away!  :D

The stress and strain on Her family must have been horrendous.. For their sakes I am glad that at last the correct verdict has been reached but as Jacqui says this could drag on for years...

A lawyer interviewed outside the Courthouse said an appeal would be very expensive and as Pistorius
had to sell his house to pay his last legal cost's he may not have the funds for an appeal. 15 years was
mentioned as the term for murder but someone interviewed on Sky News mentioned 20 years, so I
hope it's the latter. He will stay at his uncles until sentencing, probably mid February.

Well on the news tonight, that due to the time already served, he would probably get 10 years and with good behaviour he would be out on parol in 5 years.

Well, as he's not being sentenced until February 2016, there's plenty of time for someone to organise a sweepstake.

Cue Highlander.  ;)

I am up for that, we might even convince KKOB to join in.

This is what I am drinking Kevin.   A gin advent calendar, my lovely daughter bought for me... I could recommend it.   Still one can drink and dream   :)

That's far too subtle for me Jacqui. Would you care to expand on that comment ?

Perhaps I am being naive here, but surely the original judge in this case should be looked in to. Was she on the take?
