Title: Getting to Calis from Turgutries
Post by: sq291073 on February 21, 2016, 11:15:56 AM
Hi, apologies in advance if I have posted this in wrong section.  I have been to Calis many times since 2001 staying always at Caretta Apartments with Dr John and Mary.  This year I am staying at La Blanche resort in Turgutreis with friends from 22nd Sep - 6th Oct.  However there is no way that I could come to Turkey and not see old friends in Calis so I am extending my holiday in Turkey to allow this.

My question is what is best way to get to Calis from Turgutreis, would it be local dolmus, ferry etc. would really appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks
Steven

Local dolmus from Turgutreis into Yatagan or Mugla.
Bus from Yatagan or Mugla, possibly via Marmaris, to Fethiye. (Some buses go via Calis and may drop you near to your destination.)
Dolmus from Fethiye to Calis.

Dolmus to Bodrum, then it looks like a bus to Yatagan & then onwards to Fethiye. Check out this link, which will allow you through to the timetables you'll need

If there is a Pamukkale or Kamel Koc office in Turgetreis you could ask them. They may be able to arrange a shuttle bus to meet up with one of their big inter-city coaches to Fethiye. That's how we got to Fethiye on one occasion and a very efficient and pleasant journey it was too. Fethiye Seyahat also sounds a good option; we travelled with them one year by flagging down a coach on the Mugla/Fethiye road (with a weekend bags though, not a suitcases).

Have a look on the Camel's Kok Kâmil Koç and Pamukkale website or you can download Apple or Android apps.

Using the Fethiye Seyahat bus the journey time was between 4-4.25 hours which included a 20 minute comfort break at Mugla Otogar.
