Hello everyone ,my name is Deb,and I have just had a great holiday in calis,I loved meeting the people there,English and Turkish, and made some great new friends. I even picked up a few turkish words, for next time.
Well abit about me- I am 42 (still feel 22) I live in Wigan,which is famous for its rugby, pier, pies, and now its football team.I work for HJ Heinz, And have done for the last 20 years zzzzzzzz My hubby is Steve ,know better as Elvis or Shakey,-He makes me laugh.
I have 3 great kids Denver 21, Kendel 15,and Scarlett 7.Hope to talk to you all soon X TIGER

One thing though, when mentioning the things that Wigan was famous for ,how could you have forgotten about the famous Wigan Casino?
You can't say it ws before your time as you gave your age ! lol

Wecome to the forum, your eldest, Denver is not in a band by any chance? I also live near Wigan and my Son is in a band and their lead singer is called Denver, not such a common name amongst the pie eaters !!

as jukebox mentioned wigan is famous for lots of things such as the wigan walk,to all those unfamilar with this saying.This is were the loyal wigan supporters leave the ground when there team is on a battering.They are not famous for there rugby these days
anyway at least you enjoyed yer hols

I thought only my brother Chris knew that story, he has been supporting latics since the mid 70s, at that time they just had a small club house with about 80 fans,and yip I bet they've had some batterings in their time,Deb

yes its the same Heinz (beanz meanz etc) and we do have a company shop that sells all standard goods -soups beans baby food sause and loads of other stuff that heinz make.I think we pay about 9p for a tin
of beans (wish it was chocolate though!) :)
