Hi. We have just tried to log in for Internet banking. We received the customer ID, password and the sims password. We were then asked for a VKN number. We have called customer service and have to wait two working days. We live in the UK. I just wondered what this VKN was? Thanks in advance Barbara

Vergi Kimlik Numarasi is your Turkish Tax number.

Thank you x

I meant to ask something else on this. Why would your tax number be needed for Internet banking? Where would I find this number? Thanks B

You needed a Turkish tax number to open a bank account in Turkey.
Its probably a double check

You would have been given a Tax Number which you should have kept a note of. It's a bit like the UK's equivalent of a National Insurance number. You'll be asked for it occasionally as a double-check on your identity in certain cases.

Depends how long ago you got your tax no, they used to issue a card (about the size of a credit card) with all the details written on. A couple of years ago I needed to get a tax no for a friend & that was just written on a piece of scrap paper

If you happen to have to hand a Finansbank receipt that the cashiers give to you when you change up money,or put money into your account, your tax number or VKN is printed on the top right hand side of the receipt just underneath your Customer Number (Musteri No.)
