In veiw of the number of people coming onto the website and going straight into a topic, why can't we put it in terms and conditions that they introduce themselves before any post is accepted?
it would save embarrassment, and constant reminders during a topic from the moderators.

I agree, Tinx, and also those people who are serious about being members might give a few more deatails about themselves in their profiles. Any new members who do not identify themsselves and only post silly comments cannot be taken seriously.

i agree there is nothing worse then answering a question and you have no inkling at all who you are repling too
-
there seem to have been a few in the last couple of weeks.straight in with an abusive comment, has it always been like this?.do they come and go?

Great idea Tinx!
Would certainly help keep the riff raff out, seems to be more and more of them recently.

maybe if it was stated at the start of the forum
eg. to join the calisbeach forum you must....
it will be clearer to new people and old,
a lot of people just view the site, and feel they know and want to contribute
-
i am sure it states this in the rules
-
where are the rules, its not on the registeration thread
-
im sorry i have not read any rules
where are they?
-
What about a rule to stop people registering under more than one name (for whatever reason). This has happened and is only done so that they can be mischievious.

Said it ages ago tinx, welcome our new member it says, but how can you welcome them if they aint introduced themselves, i even think i got locked over it, but not sure, could av been somethin else, Alan
-
No it wasn't locked on account of your comments Alan.
Perhaps if anonymous 'web monkeys' were politely reminded to register with a complete introduction and ignored until they did so it might help, or am I hoping for too much 8)
-
but my arguement was Roy, Why say hello to a new member, when the new member hasn't introduced themselves, i took it the wrong way & e-mailed em. Alan
-
it seems to be needed now
it is a mistake some of us make when reading,
but not contributing to the forum
when a topic is interesting or you can help you just jump in
