I have quite heavy rain over my house but off to the West there is clear, sunny sky. And so there is a beautiful rainbow just off to the East - in fact a double rainbow. No matter how often I see one, or knowing the physics of raindrops and refraction, it is always a pleasure to see one. Not something of which I can tire.

Three of my grand kids are fascinated by rainbows, the stars and moon, and aircraft flying overhead, and I think
it's great that they are observing what is around them and not just glued to a screen. (like grandad.) :)

No rainbow today but visits from a little band of goldfinches which also improves any day. Such nice colourful, flitting, twittering small birds. No wonder the collective noun for them is a charm of goldfinches.
