Hi all,
well we decided to have a change this year and visited Antigua for 2 weeks, it was one of those I can't afford holidays and this year we decided to bite the bullet, we had a really good time, but it wasn't the Turkey we love,
it is great if you want perfect white sand and the bluest sea I've ever seen, and once you've seen all the sites(2 days touring) there is not much else to see, plus it's very expensive and the standard of restaurants is not a patch on Turkey.
If I'm honest the terrorist threat was a consideration, which is a real shame because we would have definitely gone this year and now in hind site I think we made a mistake, but maybe if we can stretch to a week the year we might do it.
I hope all you guys have great time and if not this year we hope to be back in 2017

Hindsight is a wonderful thing cheffy! At least now you've done Antigua and I'm sure will enjoy Turkey even more when you do come back :)

Great post Cheffy, we have been exactly the same as you, re going to Turkey this year re terrorism threat, weve looked at Portgual, Spain Bulgaria but there is no where else really I want to go so we decided still Turkey for us, reading your post has made me realise we are doing the right thing roll on Saturday! 8)
