Title: Kayakőy trip
Post by: mamion on May 11, 2016, 18:15:05 PM
 Hi all,
just wondered if anyone knew, many years ago my husband and I along with friends, went on an evening trip to kayakőy where we had a wonderful meal and drinks along with belly dancing etc. All whilst surrounded by the empty town around us. Does anyone know if these trips still run at all.
Thank you in advance

The Istanbul in Kaya do entertainment nights. They pick you up and take you back.... BBQ included....

This Friday 13th there will be live music (free) in Kaya 2-5pm not far from the Istanbul by the church and Antik restaurant.

I am just waiting to hear if there is also a craft fair that day...

It would be a nice way to see something of Kaya and then spend the evening at a restaurant.

Going to miss the music in Kaya this year Nichola as I don't fly out til Monday but I do hear that Scott Jeffers is playing in Calis on Tuesday so that will be a treat

Yes, he has also sold out within minutes of a few restaurant/bars booking him to perform after the music festival this week and he will be playing again at the Varil Bar next week. He played there last night but it was very short notice, about an hour so it was quiet despite my best efforts to advertise it on Facebook in the middle of a power cut. He will be in Kaya this Friday too as well as at the music festival in Fethiye in the evenings from tomorrow.

Thank you Mercury, sounds just what I'm looking for.  Not out until 20th July so I'll get something sorted as soon as we get there. Thank you

I think the trip you went on before, with the belly dancing etc, might have been to Kaya Park, which is now holiday accommodation.

Izela Restaurant is also holding weekly live music nights throughout the summer and is a beautiful venue for a special meal out, also with lovely views of the village.   :)

It used to be billed as "Kervansary". Music, a stage show and good food. Very popular.
