Title: Is This the World's Meanest Sandwich
Post by: Scunner on July 02, 2016, 00:25:02 AM
Boots, Union Square, Aberdeen.

The missing bite top left was the one that first alerted me to the sparsisity, what with it having absolutely nothing (including butter or mayonnaise) betweem the bread slices:

Now that wouldn't have done at all for one of our fondly remembered members......

Very true Frank. At least the prawns weren't warm.

The world's meanest sandwich was one I got for breakfast in Cafe Pazzar.  It was a huge big white crusty roll very dry, with the tiniest bit of bacon in the middle.  I wish I had taken a photo of that.
Put your image on Boot's F.B. Page.  Should have gone to M.&.S next door and just outside in Union Square.
Yes, I miss Lance his hot prawn cocktail was always so funny.

Wheras the worlds best sandwich can be found in Fethiye.  It is the doner meat yarim from the Gar Lokantasi.  Very very tasty, excellent value at 8tl, plenty of meat and salad.  I've been eating them every week for some years and the quality has never dropped, but then the waistline may be beginning to show the evidence of so many visits and so many yarims.
