We have looked for the flower man for the last two weeks never saw him. We asked at some restaurants and were told that he does not walk up and down with his flowers anymore, one suggestion was he is getting a little old for carrying a heavy basket up and down. We looked for him at the market on Sunday as he used to sell from the back of his car. We decided he had retired.
Last night on a walk after dinner, there he was outside Dawn Beach with his basket of flowers. He greeted us like long lost relatives and even kissed Phil on both cheeks. Flowers were as good as ever and still only 10 Lira a bunch.
Pleased to find him again, love to have some fresh flowers in the house. ;D

He was in Bambu last night while we were there.
We were laughing with him about 20tl tomorrow and asked if we could have them at yesterdays price of 5tl.
He went off laughing.
Apart from a few days when the new Zabita arrived hes been here all the time.

We have looked for him every night for two weeks and never saw him. It seems even the restaurant guys thought he had gone, we were also told the Gypsy woman had not been seen, but saw her in the Indian on Sunday night. Anyway, glad to see him again. I love his flowers, they are so cheap compared to the U.K. I can get two vases of flowers from one of his bunches.
This is just one.

There was a huge clampdown on the street sellers earlier this year, so a lot of them are keeping a low profile. Seen the flower man many times over the last few weeks. He usually takes his car from bar to bar....
-
Saw him both nights so far and the eternally pregnant rose lady. Not a sign of the sunglasses/perfume guys though.
-
Saw him "parked" outside Ali's bar on numerous ocassions.
-
He also stands on the corner opposite Joseph's bar
-
Other sad losses to Calis are the Chinese Lantern seller and the wizzy, flashy, sparkly tat man.
(Haven't missed the flag seller either.
-
Is the Turkish Viagra / Peanut Brittle Man still around ?

In all the years of going to Calis, I have never been in Ali's bar or even noticed it, which is strange as we sit in Joseph's all the time :o ;D :(

Not seen the deaf and dumb sellers this time. I heard that during the last purge of streeet sellers, they had all their keyrings etc., confiscated.
-
But they still play mean pinball
-
From Calis down to Fethiye,I must have seen them all
-
Ain't got no distractions
Can't hear no buzzers and bells
-
That deaf, dumb and blind man..........................
-
Sure sells a mean key ring
