A mega thankyou to everyone who volunteered and helped to make this year's fair, one of the best!!! It was a fantastic turnout by the public. The sellers have worked hard for months to prepare their crafts etc.
We have a new Father Christmas house, made by Bill, which can be used for many years to come. George was a champion mulled wine seller and Eddie was a perfect Noel Baba. You can not equate the amount of weeks, days, hours that goes into this, now a Calis tradition. My hubby now down the front, clearing up, solo!! Havent seen him much of late..... WELL DONE ALL, YOU SMASHED IT. Photo's later.

It was a lovely day out, and amazed how many people turned up,
and it was a lovely atmosphere, with all the children enjoying themselves,
and thanks for all the work everybody put in.

Looks like an amazing day. Well done to all concerned.

Pictures on F.B. Looked great. We were surprised at the amount of people on the prom. Glad it was a great success and the weather was lovely.

Sorry Barb, did try to get down to help Mick clear up, but had 2 calls earlyish doors to collect our wheelchairs, so needed to empty out the tardis first ;) :)

Is there a link to the f/b page? I know my daughter was there so would like to see photos of the event.
-
Any chance of the photos on here please? We all don't use Facebook ;D
-
Bad grammar there. Sorry.
It should have said "We don't all use Facebook" ;D

I'm hoping that Anna McKeever of the 3C's doesn't mind me using her photos from the other place

It astounded me how many stalls and visitors were there in this its 10th year. What astounds me even more is how many fewer organisers there are to actually set all this up now. The work involved is incredible and a lot of the earlier "main players" have left now the committee.. Very well done to all of you who organised this... There was one critic on FB who mentioned that this should not take place in a Muslim country... I think due to my answer he has now seen the error of his post.. !!

Very well said mercury - in the past I have been involved in setting up a Fayre in our small town - perhaps 20-25 stalls. The work in setting up the Calis one is simply staggering and as you said by a relative small number of people.

He wasn't being critical; quite the opposite as he went on to say further down the post when some people got all defensive and were quick to assume it was a criticism - thumbs up is usually and indication of support.
Any way it was a great day and the prom and restaurants were packed. Well done 3C's and hope it was a record breaker for the children you support.
