A book on archaeology, some wine to enjoy whilst reading it and - this will make Scunner jealous - an aerating wine decanter.

In the photo it is improving a Tempranillo - purely in the spirit of scientific investigation, of course.

Actually that was to refresh a half bottle left over from yesterday (yes I was surprised as well by having spare wine). Be able to tell better when I've tried a bottle of Monasterio de Santa Cruz tonight.


We had the family around for Christmas Day, including our young granddaughters, so I wanted a wine that would keep the little away away from the bottles. I chose this scary beast.

What Barrie got for Xmas in Spain was The Flu... Xmas 2016 was a washout.. Hopefully New Years Eve will be better..
