Saw at least four warships heading into Fethiye this afternoon. Anyone know whats going on?

The Turkish Navy Is Taking Part In Deniz Kurdu 2017.
It's one their annual exercises in the Aegean and Mediterranean.

Interesting how they have 5 Logistic Support Ships in service and 13 of them are involved in the excersize. :o

They've probably hired in civilian ships. Just the same as our Navy does when they go on exercise or, for instance, to The Falklands in'82.

We were in Marmaris a few days ago and there was a gunboat and nuclear submarine i port for 3 days, was reallg surprised to wake up and see them sailing in

That is a concern, as Turkey doesn't have any nuclear submarines ;)

Definatly a small black nuclear submarine as l have seen one before a few years back in uk. Was told that supposidly Turkey have an assortmant of 12 submarines! Maybe it was'nt turkish but part of a Nato force, l just assumed it was turkish, but was certainly sat in Marmaris harbour for a few days.

My son was on a uk navy sub that was involved in a Nato exercise about 5 years ago in the Med and they stayed in marmarmis harbour for several days, It was a T Class sub that was nuclear powered but not armed with nuclear missiles

How do you tell the difference between a nuclear submarine and a non nuclear submarine?

A man I know sailed the seas in a yellow submarine, but I think it was fueled by coal. ;)
