Hi All
I am planning to rent out my 3 bed apartment for a large portion of the year but given the fact that most rooms are airconditioned am a little concerned over the possible running costs.
I have heard that it is possible to purchase keycard hotel type systems where once the card is taken out of the slot the airconditioning switches off.
Anyone bought such a system and can give advice on where to buy and prices?
Thanks
Doug

A few people have purchased at Lemon apartments. I will leave them to answer.
As for me, I didn't mainly because it still relies on someone to remove the card before they leave (as the cards are not connected to the door locking in any way)

This has been covered in the past but the cards are attached to the door keys (like a keyring) very securely - they have to remove the card to take the keys with them.
However, this doesn't help you much as the builder installed it in the Lemon apartments! Try the search facility

Steve,
We got our keycard welded to the house keys so that they cannot be separated. People cannot go out without it - unless they leave the place unlocked!
