Hi could anyone advise me if there are water fountains in Dalaman airport as I was going to buy a collapsible water bottle to use there instead of getting ripped off again
-
I have seen a water fountain at the foot of the ramp , opposite the cafe in the car park but don't know if it works...
-
There used to be one by the upstairs duty free near the toilets, but I can't recall seeing it in the last few years...
-
Don't think any at the airport. Can't see them having them....... Not one down by the ramp opposite the cafe. Prices in that cafe are absurd. Pretty sure not one by duty free upstairs either.
-
Not wholly sure I would trust the water quality for anything but cleaning my teeth.
Perhaps it's just me.........

Thanks for the replies folks. I couldn't remember seeing any myself last time I was there so I was just checking.Again thanks for the replies.

Why would they when they can charge you rip off prices for a small bottle of water? Bunch of bandits :(

Years ago we could not drink the gap water here but once the new supply was put in, we were told we could. Like kayakebab, I drink the tap water and still here, well at the moment! To tell the tale. What are the reasons for not drinking the tap water? Mineral content does not seem to me to be a valid reason as bottled water has a high mineral content. I stand to be corrected!

You're right. Tap water in the Fethiye area used to be downright unpleasant at times, not harmful as far as I'm aware, just not nice to drink. We always had a 25l tub in the kitchen and just got into the habit of using that for drinking. Latterly there was probably no need, force of habit more than anything else.

We read an article in one of the English printed newspapers, it was a few years ago, it stated that there was a very high incidence of kidney stones in peope living in the Mugla area due to all the minerals in the water.
We have never drunk the water, however, nothing to do with stones, we just do not like the taste of it.

I only drink it at Dalaman airport :)
