"Citizens are denouncing people who wear the "Hero" T-shirt and police are detaining them," wrote one user on Twitter. "Our society has completely lost its mind." Quite.
-
They'll be apoplectic if they spot anyone wearing this then.

Who knew that the T in T-shirt stood for Terrorist?

Turkey, under the current regime, has gradually become a country that I can't recognise from the Turkey I got to know and enjoyed working in for many years. We have had many happy times in Istanbul and Fethiye, and I suppose we still could, if we were so inclined - but for now, it's not in our plans (other than work visits).
Can Dundar, who was the editor in chief of the Cumhuriyet newspaper and is now in exile in Germany summed it up (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-40699368) quite succinctly:
"Mr Erdogan hates criticism," he says.
"He regards every criticism as an insult to himself or as a terrorist act. We know that all those people are journalists and they've done nothing but journalism."
I just find it sad.
