Title: New rules coming in for Pet Owners
Post by: yabanci on February 27, 2018, 16:26:58 PM
From 2021 dog owners will have to register and micro-chip their pets. The next year will see the same rule apply to owners of cats and Weasels.  :)

Hopefully none of the weasels will be over inflated when they try to insert the microchip

Registered our previous dog years ago, who was already micro chipped. Traipsed all the way to Catarlarik, signed the register, issued with a dog tag, with said number. Which she wore with pride, I have to say. Was a total waste of time. Round 2 it looks like it might well be implemented properly now!

We now have a brilliant purpose built, Animal Education Centre, behind Calis Kippa(Now Migros). It has a cafe too.  Its much need in our locality, we are far behind other large towns and cities in Turkey.

Children to be educated, regarding the welfare of animals, is the only way forward, (no weasels, me thinks, but you never know) There is a cafe too.  If anyone wants to volunteer, even for 1/2 an hour a week, it would help. (Means someone can have a cuppa etc).  Will try to find link and post (well try)

For touristic animal lovers, will be a nice place to visit.

The Education Centre is on land behind the Yapi Market on the Sunday Market Road. Haydos have a depot/shop by the Calis Kipa.
