Thanks for that, feel a bit silly now!!
Anyway.. I am Julie, along with husband John and son Harrison (6). We have been coming to Calis for quite a few years and no need to ask why !!  Our son loves the place and learnt to swim and play pool in Calis.  Last year we nearly purchased a villa but bottled out..this year, July it had increased in value by 10k, oops!!!
Missing Calis more at the moment as some of our friends are there...Cavfan, Jukebox, Shelli and too many to mention.
Booked for June next year, seems along time from now.

No need to feel silly Julie, this was my first forum and I hadn't got a clue either.  Pleased to hear you enjoy Calis and buying a property is a big decision and we should have done it earlier but we didn't.

Christmas will soon be here (shudder)and June will follow in a flash, until then the forum will keep you close. Have a look at some of the photographs posted.

Hi Julie & John,
Welcome to the Forum. If you are friends of Cavfan & Jukebox we will no doubt meet up eventually in Calis. We are related to them in a distant sort of way - our neices (Tina Bear and Cutz - also on this Forum) are cousins of Shauns. Although we live in different parts of the country we seem to meet up a couple of times a year. June sounds good next year - see you there!!

hi julie if you are keen on the idea of a place in the sun do it.
As you said the villa you looked at went up 10k,prices are stabilizing but as soon as the new road and tunnel open then i for one think thye area will boom.If your finances and mind are right jump now before the prices realy rocket
anyway happy holidaying until you make your mind up

Hi Julie and John
Welcome to the Forum. We agree 100% with GT. If you are still in a position to do so then get some thick socks for the "cold feet" and get your own place in the sun.
Happy visit next time.
All the best
Ken & Sue

Hi Julie and family,

I hail from Leeds too! Living up the road in York now.

You will get some solid advice one here should you be tempted back into the buying market. It is a big decision and you must make sure it is right for you.

Any questions - just ask on here or if you prefer you can e-mail most members through their profile ( click on thier name).

Good luck.
