Just registerd tonight, hello to you all. We have just bought a 3 bed apartment in Uzumulu. after our first ever vist to Turkey, great people and country although we are nervous just put down deposit today after being at home for two weeks. Not sure what to ask now as there are many questions. I hope to be an active member of the forums

Welcome to the forum and a big congratulations on your place in the sun.
I think everyone is nervous to an extent when purchasing property in Turkey.  It's so different from buying here.  It'll be worth it in the end you wait and see.
If you use the search facility (top right hand corner of page) you'll find the answers to most of the questions that you have from all us been there done that brigade  :)

Welcome to the CB forum and congratulations on buying your place in the sun. We were in your situation about a year ago and do not have a single regret. We could not believe what we'd done and almost had to keep pinching ourselves. Is your apartment completed or still under construction?
In your intro, members would be interested in whether there is a Mr Suzie and Suzie juniors as you refer to "we".

Hi Suzie, welcome to the forum, don't be nervous, as far as i'm concerned you've done yourselves a favour, you bought around Calis, which to me I now think of as home, fair enough for me, might only be for 6wks a year at the moment, i used to go away for 2wks a year, now I go away for 46wks a year, hopefully not for too long. My god Alan can you not sleep? I thought you'd be up at four as a postman. We live about six miles north of you in the UK and hope we might see you in Calis in October. Your enthusiasm for the place is inspiring!!

Suzie - we did the same as you in June but in Calis: and today we have made our second payment and we can collect the keys Monday if we want. Trouble is we are in the UK! You will probably find the process is a mix of things happening all at once and then nothing happens for a while and you wonder if it ever will. But it does. Use this site it will help a lot. I have found that the replies are always genuine and so long as you also listen to your own head as well as your heart it will be fine. Enjoy. You will be smiling a lot more in the coming months I promise.  Best of luck
