Title: Hello Calis lovers
Post by: DT on November 13, 2005, 22:04:46 PM: My name is Diana and I have been visiting Calis once or twice a year since 1989. Bill {my husband}and I have enjoyed some wonderful holidays there. We have made some very good friends over the years, many of which have moved on to different countries/got married etc. I did spot on the Forum the other week a photograph of Ahmet from Coela, when we first met him he was approximately 16 years old and working at the Gulistan hotel which has now changed its name, Calis then was mainly fields and very quiet. This year we stayed for a month and are returning for another month next year, cant wait.

Dont know Ahmet but do remember the Gulistan and Calis when it was fields as weve been going since '89 too! might have even bumped into you as there werent that many drinking places in those days!

Post by: DT on January 24, 2006, 14:55:17 PM: Hello Cavfan, Ahmet used to help out at the Gulistan during school hols when Necla used to run the hotel, I think she was his Aunt. We have remained good friends with her since. Necla was married to Ali from Alis' Ark, one of her brothers owned the Geren hotel along the beach, another used to own the Sesil which was on the old road to the village but that hotel is long gone since the building of the new road. So many changes but we still love Calis.
