Hi Loftyj, welcome to the forum, went to Icmeler before i found Calis but never even thought about buying there, but never met anyone there who talked me into it, but thinking about it now it would have been top of my list if my workmate hadn't invited me over to Calis for a drink when we stayed in Ovacik, is it still as small as it was 8yrs ago.Alan

Hi Number2 Icmeler is growing but still small compared to its neighbour Marmaris, my appartment is in the old town which i love as it is a 10min stroll back into main resort but nice and quite for when i want to sleep, and being in the village you get to know the locals which is what its all about for me and they are so friendly and helpful.

Welcome to you, we have friends who are about to return to Icmelar for another Summer. I have never been there but I have only ever heard good things.

Hi Julie.(Loftyj)
Welcome to the forum.
Love Icmeler, must visit sometime again. Thought they were quite expensive properties there though and bordering against Turkeys premier resort, Marmaris means plenty of partying...LOL
The old town must be a very nice place to live, congratulations on your purchase.

Hi Julie
I went to Icmeler about 16 years ago and there was virtually nothing there apart from a great beach. Bet its a really great place now.

HI All.,
Thankyou all for your kind words, I know we all love Turkey albeit different resort/parts but as long as well all enjoy ourselves thats all that matters as we only get one chance at life so enjoy. I am flying out again for a week on 22Jan and cant wait to be back i know it wont be the same as summer but still miss the place and people when im here especially the cold dark days and nights. Good luck to everybody in their quest to enjoy themselves x x x x jules

Hi Loftyj
Welcome to the forum. We had a week in Icmeler a couple of years back. Had a lovely time and thought the place was very pretty. We were having a week there followed by a week in Calis ,unfortunatley on the last day our hotel room was robbed and all my wifes jewelrey was stolen. Never been so glad to get to Calis as we were that day.
Still, bad things happen to people in Calis too and we do have some happy memories of the place.
Good luck with the permanent move. Lucky you :)
