Hello all,
I'm Steve and my wife is Sue. We live in Bromsgrove, South of Birmingham. I'm originally from Liverpool and Sue's from Goole in Yorkshire. We have just bought a house (Merlot Villas) down by the hospital. We're still getting to know the area, but the more we see, the more we like Calis. We're planning to come out in May to buy some more furniture. Hoping to be able to move out permanently soon. No doubt we will have lots of questions.

Welcome Steve and Sue. I'm sure the more you find out about Calis the more you will love it.
Ask away.

We have just trod a similar path. Buying furniture was fun. Lots of choice and the money goes a long way. Rule of thumb budget up to £1000 pep room i.e 3 bedroom apartment costs about £3000 to equip. It is possible to do it on less if needs must. Enjoy.

At least we're all young at heart. When you were 13 did you ever imagine visiting Turkey, let alone plan to live there? I know we didn't.

Hello Dave,
Don't know where Palm Beach is yet! We're still finding our way around. Will try and find it in May when we go out to buy more furniture. Will also look out for Zakkum too Marcus.

Further to my earlier email there was one expense which took us a bit by surprise. In our apartment we had to supply the light fittings/shades etc. There was over 25 of them when you count up the hall, stairs, store rooms, terrace, lounge and bedroom ceiling and wall lights etc. Once purchased we then decided to get an electician to fit them. That cost about £75 and took most of the day. I didn't fancy fiddling with the electrics!!I suppose we paid about £250 in total. That said there were some lovely fittings to choose from and once done it looks good and feels very homely! Stuart

God! sites full of Mickey Mousers

Hello Stuart, We paid pretty much the same for our lights. Luckily, we saved £75.00 as the builder fitted them for us. One of the perks for buying off plan.
Hello Crossie, We thought we were leaving the scousers behind us too. Will definately have to buy some security grilles.
