Title: New Owner in Need of a Helping Hand
Post by: BlueEyes on February 11, 2006, 16:39:31 PM
Hiya,

My name's Sarah.  I'm 25 and live in near Norwich in East Anglia.  I'm told that due to direct flights into Dalaman from Norwich during the summer there are several owners from out this way.....

I went on holiday to Ovacik last September and ended up buying an apartment in Calis (you know what us females are like with impulse purchases  ;))  Am now having problems getting flights over there during March to furnish my apartment ready for the summer season.

If anyone knows of any airlines that fly from either Stansted or Luton during March would appreciate a response  :)

Will no doubt be posting more messages as my adventure continues...and will continue to read your messages for all the tips and advice I can get. [:X]

Sarah,

Wow I thought we were impulsive!
Turkish Cypriot Airways fly from Stansted on sundays through out the year. Also try Onur airways, Thomas Cook and holiday 4U.

If you do down the forumn topics you will find a whole topic devoted to filghts.

Good luck with the flights & with the shopping - lot's of info on the forum & use the search function at the top of the page.

Lte us know how you get on.

Thanks for the welcome and info 'Braveheart' and Lorraine.  Have been looking through the flights forum pages and been on about fifty different websites but cannot find anything from Stansted until May.

Any specific websites/phone numbers that you (or anyone else) knows of[?]

It may be that you will have to fly from Gatwick Sarah, a lot of the airports to not fly to Dalaman out of season. We are in the North East and we have to go to Manchester and we are flying out of there in March through H4U and with Onur.

Congratulations on your apartment though.

Hi sarah,
Cyprus Turkish airways don't seem to have a website but you can book them by phone (Imaddy has given the phone number above) They fly from Stansted every Sunday - we flew with them on Christmas day to Dalaman (£248) - the plane actually goes to Northern Cyprus but has to land in Turkey before going on to N.Cyprus(something to do with the law regarding flights to N.Cyprus)
Out of the 200 plus people on our flight on Christmas day only about 30 got off at Dalaman - everyone else stayed on for Cyprus. I have enquired for flights for this year - apparently they are flying Sundays, tuesdays & Thursdays  from Stansted but flights in August are about £320 - £370.(a bit pricey)

Hi and a warm welcome to the Forum. If the worst comes to the worst and you can't get a flight you can always Fly scheduled from Heathrow to Dalaman via Istanbul. Daily flights but it is costly. Turkish Airlines....they do have a website and you can book on line. :)
