I've always found the pharmasist opposite Gima is great and has recommended the dentist I use so can probably help, his English is superb,- not the one on the corner, the next one in - they can prescribe drugs needed and when I had a chest infection he gave me anitbiotics etc...

Hope this helps

There are no GP's as we know them in Turkey, but there are some in private practise. It is normal to use a hospital, they provide all the needs & more. Use the "Search" to find out more.

In Turkey your first port of call (unless its very serious) is a Pharmacist.  They operate on the French system and Pharmacists take the place of GP's in a lot of respects.  They will advise you on the right medicine and there's no need for a prescription for anti-biotics and many other things that there would be in the UK.  The Chemist opposite Gima is brilliant I have known him since he opened and can't praise him highly enough.  He will even send you medicines to the UK if he can provide them cheaper than a prescription would cost.
